I'm grateful for.......

This week I am grateful for....

Having my big girl home from her Grade 4 camp. It wasn't the same around here without her and although she is known as the quietest of the 3, it seemed so quiet without her. The 2 nights away seemed like an eternity and I was so excited to pick her up this afternoon. Apparently she didn't feel the same and had so much fun that she didn't miss us at all!!!!

I have loved listening to her tales of camp. I've heard the highlights (jumping off the diving board) and the lowlights ("the food wasn't even homemade!!!") and everything in between. It was lovely to see her collapse in to an exhausted but happy slumber.

For more.

How gorgeous. Where was the damper and hot potatoes in the coals?? Tell me they didn't feed her 2 minute noodles!

I think it's marvellous that she didn't miss you guys. That shows such a resilient, confident character. She will go far. x

I agree with Bron- that's fab that she didn't miss you. Whilst mine are still so young it's hard to imagine them away at camp!!! Enjoy some family time this weekend xx

It's always so lovely when the chicks come home to the nest, even if they have only been away for a few days.

Hahaha! "The food wasn't even homemade", I love that comment. Kids are the best! I can recall thinking my Mum's home cooked meals were better than anything when I was young... come to think of it, I still do!
